Overview

The United Nations Population Division estimates that, by the year 2050, there will be 9.7 billion people living on Earth – around 30% more people than in 2017. Nearly all of this population growth will occur in the developing countries.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) estimates that, in developing countries, 80% of the necessary increases in food production keep pace with population growth are projected to come from increases in yields and the number of times per year crops can be grown on the same land. Only 20% of new food production is expected to come from expansion of farming land.

Pesticides can prevent large crop losses and will therefore continue to play a role in agriculture. However, the effects on humans and the environment of exposure to pesticides are a continuing concern.

Product Description

The pesticide detection is based on the inhibition of Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity by organophosphorus (OP) and carbamate (CM) pesticides, and inhibition rate is positively correlated their concentration. So, inhibition rate was recognized to be a marker whether there are OP and CM pesticide residues in the sample.

The FST-PR12 was based on principle of spectrophotometry and Beer-Lambert law, used to measure the change of absorbance of sample solution with time in the process of AChE hydrolysis. Then inhibition rate can be calculated.

PR12 Rapid Pesticide Detector contains three modules: spectrophotometer, digital management, and wireless communication. Combined used with FSTest Pesticide Residues Rapid Detection Kit, it can provide an accuracy and reliability solution to testing OP and CM pesticide residues in fruits, vegetables, tea and produce.

Due to the buyer's reasons, such as incapable of testing, changed minds, or buying by mistakes, return will not be accepted.

3. Once opened, returned is unavailable for test card, reagent, and count plate products. Returned is also unaccepted if products are damaged deliberately.

4. If any FSTest food safety product is defective, we will replace the items or refund the cost. Promptly notify within 30 days after the discovery of any suspected defects in products is necessary for return request.

5. When using this product, other auxiliary tools may be required, such as the balance and pipette.

6. External factors such as sampling methods, testing protocols, sample preparation, handling, and laboratory technique may influence results.

7. After testing, count plates may contain microorganisms that may be a potential biohazard. Please follow current industry standards for disposal.

8. FSTest will not be liable for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages. In no event,FSTest just keep the financial liability under the product purchase price only.

WARRANTY IS VOID IF:

1. The hardware has been repaired by persons who are not authorized by FSTest;  

2. The hardware has been altered, modified, or misused.  

3. The hardware has not been maintained or used in accordance with the user manual.
